None of us were sure if it was the fire alarm or the lockdown alarm, so we all head out into the hall to check and no one’s out there, so we head back in and climb under our desks as is lockdown procedure. Cut to an hour or so later when a teacher bursts in and nearly dies of relief because the school was on fire and we were the only students not accounted for and half the faculty and fire department ...

Short Stories  Published by Mya K.Brew I hope you enjoy these stories. I am not the creator of any of the following stories. I am only sharing them with you. I hope you enjoy! Follow me on Wattpad for other amazing short stories written by Mya K. Brew!  https://www.wattpad.com/user/partybear234 The Fake Report Cards I failed the first quarter of a class in middle school, so I made a fake report card. I did this every quarter that year. I forgot that they mail home the end-of-year cards, and my mom got it before I could intercept with my fake. She was PISSED—at the school for their error. The teacher also retired that year and had already thrown out his records, so they had to take my mother’s “proof” (the fake ones I made throughout the year) and “correct” the “mistake.” I’ve never told her the truth. -Author Unknown Now That’s What I Call Stupid In my junior year of high school, this guy asked me on a date. Amazing Quotes

Amazing Quotes Published by Mya K. Brew These quotes weren't written by me, therefore, full credit to the creator. I hope you enjoy! Amazing Quotes “You can talk with someone for years, every day, and still, it won't mean as much as what you can have when you sit in front of someone, not saying a word, yet you feel that person with your heart, you feel like you have known the person for forever.... connections are made with the heart, not the tongue.”  ―  C. JoyBell C. “A star falls from the sky and into your hands. Then it seeps through your veins and swims inside your blood and becomes every part of you. And then you have to put it back into the sky. And it's the most painful thing you'll ever have to do and that you've ever done. But what's yours is yours. Whether it’s up in the sky or here in your hands. And one day, it'll fall from the sky and hit you in the head real hard and at that time, you won't have to put it back in the sky a...

It's A Shame

Education is So Important By Mya K. Brew Note To All Parents I find it upsetting to know that kids and teens are so unaware of the dangers in the world. We are so caught up checking our Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, etc, I can say firmly, we aren't caught up in what's really important in life. This is a message to all you parents from a teen. Description I am writing a message to all the parents out there. I am here to tell you something that your teenager probably won't. I am going to touch upon an idea that may be disturbing for some readers. If you are easily disturbed, please don't read this blog. Thank you, and I hope you learn from this message. Letter To Mom and Dad/ Guardian Dear Parents and Guardians, A 14-year-old girl was unaware of the dangers in society. It broke my heart to know that kids and teens are that unaware of modern issues. It hurts to know that kids and teens aren't taught the important lessons in lif...

The Middle Grounds

The Middle Grounds By Mya K. Brew Joshua Middleton sat crouched in an alley. It was midnight. "Where is Keri," Josh questioned himself. Keri, Josh's newest case, was a ghost girl. She was supposed to meet Josh in the alley, at midnight. Together, they only had one minute to make it to the Middle Grounds, protected by the only time of night that death took a breather. So where was Keri? Josh checked his watch. She should be here! Suddenly, Josh heard a noise, it was Keri floating above the roof. Josh didn't have time to talk, so he blurted out - "Let's go!" The Middle Grounds were only a mile away, and midnight was the only time Keri could escape to the middle grounds without being carried into the after-life. Keri and Josh took off running, running as quickly as he could manage, they still would never make it. Running at twelve miles an hour, the clock moved to 12:01. Death roared through the city, making Keri and Josh speed up. The grounds were...

July 4, 2003 Dear Diary, My first born child was born today. She is such a beauty. Her name is Faith Alexandra Lidla. Her beautiful skin, her stunning green eyes, her quiet little coo, makes me want to hold forever and never let her go. I just love her. So does her father, Jonathan. He's my husband from Georgia. That is where we met. I am from West Roxbury.  West Roxbury is where Johnathan and I will raise our family.  I am so blessed to have such a great bundle of joy here with me today. From A Village To A Castle (Preview)

From A Village To A Castle (Preview) By Mya K. Brew First Day At Hinley Middle School Today is the first day of school. As soon as you walk in the main doors, you'll see Mrs. Klark, Hinley Middle School's principal, and Mrs. Spinns, Hinley Middle School's Vice Principal, greeting every soul that walks through the doors. Behind the two women are arrows. Each arrow directs a grade to their meeting location. 6th graders to the Library, 7th graders to the Gymnasium, and 8th graders to the Cafeteria. I immediately look for my best friend, Lola Cardinal. When I spot her, I slowly creep behind her for what I like to call  a first day of school to remember. "Boo!" Lola turns to face me. "Cassandra Lariza Hupfer, how dare you scare little ol' me?" "I do apologize, Miss Lola." We give each other a big hug. "Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal. "Cassie," they respond. "Good to see you, dear," added Mrs. Cardinal. ...

Be Happy

Be Happy By Mya K. Brew Be happy Be grateful You're lucky Your attitude is disgraceful You're always told to count your blessing To see the "good" Even though "good" is what's missing Wait a minute I lost a friend Because of a bullet Yet everyone says "he's in a better place" And that's all there is to it. If he's in a better place then why do we cry If we are supposed to count our blessing  Then tell me why Why do I have to feel the pain ever time Moms and dads even the teacher Tell me how blessed I am like they are some preacher I'm tired of hearing you need to be happy When I live in a world that can't be any more crappy Yes I'll be happy Put that fake smile on  Talk about the good times Cuz I'm supposed to be happy Be happy Be grateful You're lucky Your attitude is disgraceful We can't always feel happiness Sometimes we feel pa...
