Many years ago a young entertainer was born in a city of Boston. As she aged, she grew a love for singing, acting, and writing. 

A few years ago, Mya began writing books and music for her family. Shortly after, she began publishing her creations for the community. Currently, she writes books that are published internationally for kids, teens, and adults all around the world. She began her public writing career in 2016, and til this day, she continues to write for others. 

Other than book writing, Mya enjoys entertaining her friends at school through music and theater. Mya has performed many songs for small and large crowds during elementary school. In 2015, Mya performed "This Is My Wish" by Kevin Ross for an evening event at the Joyce Kilmer School in West Roxbury. When a staff member asked her why she chose to perform"This Is My Wish", she responded, "I believe the world can change. We are the future. Only we can save it." 

Mya isn't the only one in her family that's in performing arts. That same night, at the Joyce Kilmer, her older sister performed a dance with her dance group.  "It was an amazing dance. Such great talent those young girls have." said an amazed mom.

Not only did Mya's older sister dance, but she had a bit of acting experience. Back in 2014, Mya went to see her older sister star in the musical, Aesop Fables. "She was amazing. I enjoyed every minute of the play. I was so proud to see my sister performing for such a large group of people. I was very amazing" Mya noted. Shortly after seeing the Aesop Fables live production, Mya continued singing and acting for the public while her older sister stopped dancing and acting, to go into sports.

What's Today? By Mya K.Brew "Mom, do you know what today is?" I ask with a smile. "I know today is going to be a peaceful day. Nobody will argue with their siblings today, right?" I sulk.
