The Birds

The Birds

By Mya K.Brew

I fly like the eagle and sing like the robin
I hustle like the pigeon and keep my head bobbin
Do the birds like they way they are?
Or do they look for a new soul searching near and far
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think about this often, quit frankly everyday
I become the birds and try to learn there ways
I sing through all weather, pain, and sorrow
I’ll sing about the new day, I’ll sing about tomorrow
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I scare like the crow and fish like the seagull
I will make a change for the word, and until that is done expect an earful
I promise not hurt my great home land
You’ll no longer have to worry about where you stand
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I fly like the eagle and sing like the robin
I hustle like the pigeon and keep my head bobbin
Do the birds like they way they are?
Or do they look for a new soul searching near and far
